Ms Tokozile Xasa is Deputy Minister of Tourism of the Republic of South Africa since 11 May 2009 and a member of Parliament since May 2009.

Ms Xasa holds a Master degree in Public Administration from the University of Fort Hare; a Bachelor Arts degree from the University of Transkei and a Bachelor Arts Honours degree from the University of Fort Hare.

Ms Xasa is a Teacher by profession and taught at several high schools.

During her political career she has served as Provincial Treasurer of African National Congress (ANC) in Eastern Cape province, as a member of provincial Legislature in Eastern Cape from 2001 until 2009, a member of the Executive Council (MEC) for Local Government and Traditional Affairs.

She has also served in the following Portfolio Committees: Local government and Traditional Affairs, Premier's Office, and Economic Affairs. She also served as Mayor of King Sabatha at the Dalindyebo District Municipality.
